Discovering Ministry is designed for those who have attended Dinner with the Pastor and are interested in growing in their walk with God. The class has two purposes: to equip you to Reach the World and then to give you specific opportunities at RSC to serve in that you are passionate about and gifted for. Chris will teach you how to have a daily quiet time, share your faith, and other things that will help equip you in your walk with God. The average length of marriage is only 7.8 years. Right now, 36.8 million children in America under the age of 18 have experienced the divorce of their parents. BUT, there is something we can do to change these statistics. On September 26, the movie Fireproof will open in theaters across the country. RSC will begin a 6-week sermon and small group series on September 28th that focuses on marriage. The movie, sermon series, and small group material will address the tough issues in marriage from a biblical perspective. They provide landscaping and lawncare, general remodeling, mentoring, tutoring, and adult education (ESL and GED classes). On the 4th Saturday of each month, local church teams serve from 8am until noon. Projects will be tailored to meet our group's skill level. We will begin serving August 23rd. We had 13 volunteers of all ages from RSC. We did things like laying lines for A/C, cleaning up a yard, and lots of painting. We worked with people from other local churches and had a fun time serving this community. Psalm 68:5 says, "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling." Kids Klub consists of three classes, designed per age group with a slightly different Sunday morning structure. The ages are divided as follows: 1. Nursery Ages birth to 18 months It's a joy to have your child in our nursery! Our nursery strives to do more than provide a baby-sitting service. We believe it is possible to share the love of Christ with a child from the day of his or her birth. We are proud of our nursery and the loving workers who serve faithfully. Our volunteers are men and women who desire to share the love of Jesus with our children. Your baby is a very special person to us! At Rock Springs Church, our purpose is to develop fully devoted followers of Christ, or disciples. RSC has a three-fold process that represents three environments to help you become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. These environments, in and of themselves, cannot make anybody a disciple of Jesus Christ. Over 40,000 churches cooperate together in a worldwide effort of missions called the Cooperative Program. 7% of all general offerings to Rock Springs Church go directly to the Cooperative Program to support this mission effort. 3% of all general offerings go directly to the Concord Baptist Association to support local missions.
